Lockdown Story Competition

Try this drawing and writing competition from the Peebles COVID-19 Support Group:

ITS COMPETITION TIME – WE WANT YOUR CHILDREN’S LOCKDOWN STORIES OR PICTURES

Are your children in Primary 1 to 7 – we need them! We want them to come up with ‘My Lockdown Story’. We’d love them to share with us what they have been doing during lockdown, either as a picture or a one-page story. You choose!

For the winners we have 3 x £10 Caldwells ice cream vouchers kindly donated by A Gift for Peebles for the family to enjoy an ice cream delivery.

Local author, Helen Holt, is also creating a book called  ‘Peebles in Unprecedented Times (As featured recently in The Peeblesshire News). This will be a collection of stories a features from the people of Peebles (and perhaps beyond), however with permission she would like to include some children’s  Lockdown Stories’  submitted for this competition as well. What a really exciting offer from Helen to have your childs’ thoughts recorded in print for future generations to see.

So let’s get the children’s writing and drawing. Get them to think about anything they have been doing over the past few weeks- playing outside, read books, who is helping with school work, how have they kept in touch with family and friends, have they learned anything new?

Simply get them to draw or write the story and email it to support@peeblessupport.org. We’ll be sharing the pictures and stories on our Facebook page, website, and in the press helping us to keep Peebles connected.  Please remember to Include the first name and your age.
